I became interested in Real Estate at a very young age by going to tour new build communities, open houses, the Colorado Parade of Homes, etc almost every weekend with my Mom. I was always fascinated by how personal and different each home was and the unique story each home told by just walking through it. Before becoming a Realtor, I pursued a degree in Sports Medicine and worked in an Outpatient Physical Therapy Clinic; changing career paths and marketing myself as the Realtor instead of a medical professional made the transition more difficult than I expected, but also helped me to be able to adapt with every changing market and understand individuals on a more personal level in order to help cater their real estate needs to their unique situations/circumstances.
In my second year as a Realtor, I met these amazing clients who were interested in touring one of my company’s properties. Of course, meeting them for the first time at the property, I knew nothing about them other than their names. After spending some time getting to know them and their needs better, I was able to provide them with information about new neighborhoods that would be great fits for their family while still being in close proximity to their jobs. When we finally closed on what is now their Dream Home, One of them told me that they actually had another agent in mind before they met me but after I showed them information that the other agent didn’t, they knew who the right fit was. As Realtors, it can be intimidating and nerve racking meeting new people because you hope you’re giving them the best service possible, so hearing those words come from a clients mouth was reassurance that I needed to know the career change I made was 100% worth it!
There are, of course, a ton of Real Estate Agents in Colorado that one could choose from. I differ from the majority of agents in the business, not only because of the team I have behind me making sure every detail is taken care of, but because although the end goal and the problem I’m solving for my clients is buying/selling/investing in a home, I’m more interested in getting to know every single one of my clients for their person and not treating them like just another transaction. This helps me better relate to and understand what a client truly needs in a home, what you want in a home and merging those aspects into one (almost) perfect home.
Once we’ve established a relationship and the client has closed on their new home, I am still apart of their lives well after they’ve signed on the dotted line. I am a resource for my clients needing help with a renovation, helping renovate their home and making sure the updates they’re doing increase their home value, or even just someone to bounce ideas off of whether real estate related or not.
