What is the story behind your business?

Over the years, Chad has worked with quite a few different populations from pediatrics to adults, but has always had a passion for working with kids and youth. Chad has worked with various diagnoses and limitations, including: deaf, blind, emotional disturbance, post-traumatic stress disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, autism, intellectual disabilities, cognitive delays, sensory dysregulation, Cerebral Palsy, Down syndrome, children with complex behaviors and those with emotional regulation challenges. Chad earned his handwriting specialist certification through Handwriting Without Tears, has been trained by Zones of Regulation, is a trained SOS Feeding Therapist, Beckman Oral Motor Certified, and is a Certified Autism Specialist.

Chad has a huge passion for the outdoors, sports and fitness for all individuals. For many years, Chad voluntarily ran large multi-city youth groups as well as set up, promoted, organized and ran a non-profit fitness series to target childhood health and well-being. Previously Chad set up and developed an Occupational Therapy division within a non-public school system to expand its operations across many sites as well as he ran an outpatient pediatric therapy clinic in the Boise Area as the Clinical Director. With his experience, education and training, Chad wanted to support the local community needs by developing SkyBreak Therapy.

I always knew I wanted to own and operate an organization that was going to be a part of the community and provide support to those in need. I am the first person in my family to start a business from scratch. I worked as a clinician for 8 years prior to setting up things independently.

Bridging the gap from when you see a patient to when you get paid, all upfront costs and purchase of equipment and space to help things continue growing. It’s a lot of upfront costs and time.

Tell a story about a great customer experience.

SkyBreak therapy has been an outstanding resource of learning. Not only for my child but for also us as the parents. They are always patient and understanding with my child. We’ve tried other places, SkyBreak therapy is the first place my child looks forward to going every week.”

Explain why a customer should consider your business instead of going to a competitor.

Helping your child flourish is SkyBreak Therapy’s key focus. Utilizing a more thorough evaluation process, SkyBreak Therapists attempt to identify and understand limitations that are preventing your child from excelling. Using these results can provide a more tailored approach and improve results over time.
