At Fifth Street Gourmet Popsicles & Treats, we take pride in offering a wide selection of premium, handcrafted frozen treats and refreshing beverages. Our popsicle menu features a variety of fruity, creamy, and indulgent flavors, including watermelon, lime, strawberry, vanilla, chocolate, coconut, avocado, and more.
In addition to our popsicles, we offer a range of delicious sweet treats such as waffle tacos, waffle on a stick, mini pancakes, churros, ice cream nachos, and hot cocoa bombs.
For a refreshing drink, we serve freshly squeezed juices, including carrot, orange, pineapple, and green juice. We also offer organic smoothies, with popular flavors like strawberry and banana.
To complement our sweet options, we provide savory treats like nachos and street corn, perfect for any event or gathering.

What types of advertising are you currently doing, and what types of advertising have been most successful for you in the past?

For our advertising we are currently using Instagram, Facebook and TikTok to share our content with customers. We also attend Farmer Markets on the weekend to further expand our networking. Lastly, we are using door to door advertising by contacting schools and offering our services to their events. We believe the most successful platform at the moment is our Instagram and Farmer Markets. At Farmer Markets we are given the chance to interact with other services and with potential customers thus expanding our network.

Are there any certifications, awards, or media recognition that your business has received?

As far as awards go, we are awarded and featured in the Houston Chronicle roundup of the best popsicles and paletas in the city. We received this award on August 30th, 2024.

At our business we do have 4 employees, in addition because we are a newly start up business we do not have any employees who have been with the company for a particularly long time but most of our employees have been with us since the start.

What is the story behind your business?

Carina Ramos, the owner of Fifth Street Gourmet Popsicles & Treats, developed an interest in starting the business after discovering a passion for unique, handcrafted desserts that bring people joy. As the current owner of MJ Jewelers of Bellaire, Carina already had experience running a successful business, but she wanted to venture into the food industry to offer something special to her community. While she had a background in jewelry, Carina was excited to explore new opportunities in a completely different field. One of the biggest challenges she faced in opening this new business was managing the logistics of running two businesses simultaneously, while ensuring that both ventures received the attention they needed to thrive. Despite the hurdles, Carina’s dedication to quality, creativity, and customer satisfaction has been key to the growth and success of Fifth Street Gourmet Popsicles & Treats. With winter approaching, Carina knew it was essential to get creative and adapt her offerings to ensure people would continue to enjoy the treats she loves serving, even in cooler weather. This has led her to explore new, cozy, and indulgent options that keep customers coming back for more, no matter the season.
