What Services or Products does your business provide?

The group practice provides outreach, primary care, and specialization in the prevention and treatment of HIV and other STIs.

What types of advertising are you currently doing and what types of advertising have been most successful for you in the past? (It’s ok if it isn’t IndoorMedia 😊)

We are currently using the group practice’s formal website and postings via social media organizational accounts such as Instragram, Facebook, and TikTok. We also post our information in governmental websites that target individuals seeking testing and treatment for HIV and other STIs.

How many employees does the business have? Are there any special employees that have a unique story? Are there any employees who have been with the company a particularly long time?

In your own words, please write a paragraph about how the owner or partners got interested in starting this business. Is the owner the first person in their family to own a business? Did they have a career before starting this business? Were there any specific challenges they faced in opening or keeping the business open?

The organization is a non-profit group practice that is addressing the primary care and infectious disease needs of the immediate community. Miami-Dade County represents the highest national incidents of reported sexually transmitted illnesses within a culturally diverse community. Such an environment necessitates care providers that can communicate and render services in a manner that addresses social determinants of health and emphasizes the maximization of health outcomes.

Tell a story about a great customer experience.

Staff was able to locate a patient that had moved outside the service area and return for HIV care. The patient could not find care at his place of residence and as a result had not taken his retroviral medications for over 3 months. Once he reintegrated with the practice, the patient was able to get his retroviral medications delivered to his home via the preferred pharmacy and he was given three months’ worth to ensure continuity of care. The patient will continue to be followed by the practice via face to face and telehealth technologies.

Explain why a customer should consider your business instead of going to a competitor.

The group practice provides a culturally sensitive environment where care is rendered confidentially and regardless of the patient’s gender or sexual orientation and demographic composition. The intent is to minimize the stigmas associated with STIs and sustain a welcoming environment for care as the patient’s medical home.

What extra services do you offer that people might not know about? For example, restaurants might offer catering and Car Washes might offer shampooing of seats and carpet.

The group practice also offers the opportunity to receive primary care from the home for those patients that are bedbound for physiological, psychological and or socioeconomic reasons. The frequency of home visits is predicated on the individual needs of the patient’s treatment plan.
